Your First Visit

What to Expect

Your first appointment is designed to be thorough, unhurried, and informative. Here's exactly what happens.

01

Health History Review

We review your health history and discuss your current concerns and what's brought you in. There's no rushing this step.

02

Thorough Physical Exam

Our provider performs a comprehensive orthopedic and neurological examination to identify the source of your issue — not just the location of your pain.

03

Diagnosis & Report of Findings

Our team explains exactly what was found, what it means, and what the best path forward looks like. You'll understand your condition before you leave.

04

Your Customized Care Plan

We build a treatment plan tailored to your diagnosis and goals — including frequency of visits, any complementary services, and what to do between appointments.

Please Arrive 10 Minutes Early

This gives you time to complete any remaining paperwork and get comfortable before your appointment begins.

Common Questions

New Patient FAQ

Your first visit typically takes 45–60 minutes. This includes your health history review, physical examination, and a full report of findings from your provider. We take the time to do this right — because what we find on your first visit shapes your entire treatment plan.

In most cases, yes — your provider will perform your first adjustment after the examination if it's appropriate. In some cases, additional diagnostic imaging (X-rays) may be recommended before beginning adjustments. We'll always explain the reasoning.

Chiropractic care is one of the safest forms of healthcare for musculoskeletal problems. Serious adverse events are extremely rare. Our providers use evidence-based, gentle techniques appropriate to your age and condition and will always discuss any risks before treatment.

It depends on your condition, how long you've had it, and your health goals. Some patients feel significant relief in just 3–5 visits. Others with chronic conditions may benefit from an ongoing care plan. Your provider will give you a clear, honest estimate after your first-visit exam.

If diagnostic imaging is needed, our team will refer you to a local imaging center. If you have recent X-rays or MRI results from another provider, please bring them — we can often work from existing imaging.

Absolutely. Kaizen sees patients of all ages, including children and infants. Pediatric chiropractic uses very gentle techniques adapted for developing bodies. Many families come to Kaizen together.
